The Christian Faith
By the grace of God we are saved through faith in Jesus’ death and resurrection for our sin.
(Romans 5:8; Ephesians 2:1-9)
God has revealed himself to us in his Son, through his word. The Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is the authority in all matters of the Christian faith.
(John 1:14, 17:25; Hebrews 1:1-2; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
As God's people, we are called on to live lives that are pleasing to Him.
(Philippians 1:27; 1 Peter 1:15-16)
We are called to be prayerfully committed to continuing the mission Jesus gave his followers to growing the kingdom of God.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Colossians 1:28-29, 4:2-6)
Genuine relationships are part of what it means to live as a follower of Jesus, using the gifts given to us by the Holy Spirit to become more like Christ, and to serve one another in the life of His church.
(1 John 3:11; 1 Peter 4:7-11)
As part of the Sydney Diocese of the Anglican church, we are committed to the Diocesan mission, which is:
'to glorify God by proclaiming our saviour the Lord Jesus Christ in prayerful dependence on the Holy Spirit, so that everyone will hear his call to repent, trust and serve Christ in love, and be established in the fellowship of his disciples while they await his return.'
